Mafalda Araújo Pereira is currently a PhD student in Porse Group at the Biotech Research and Innovation Institute, University of Copenhagen studying the function of KDM5C, a histone demethylase that acts as a tumour suppressor in Acute Myeloid Leukemia. That way, she hopes to contribute to the understanding of the mechanistic basis of the role of KDM5C in normal hematopoiesis and thus increase the knowledge of the regulation of this crucial physiological process.
